Our CHA Journey Begins!

We can’t believe that we were headed to CHA.  It was a last minute decision, due to the fact that we had just opened the store.  We we’re sooo excited to be going.

Chris Here!!!! You Gals (Guys) Rock!!!!!!!!

I don’t even know what to say.  I am so overwhelmed at everyones generosity.   I was getting ready to close shop and looked over at the table.  There were MORE pages made for Vicki Danners albums.  They’re beautiful.  It brings tears to my eyes just looking at them.  That puts us over 300 pages that have been completed.  You All have such a huge heart….One more Great BIG Thank You to everyone who either donated product, completed pages, money donations for the Danners and of course All your prayers and support.  This wouldn’t have been such a success without YOU!  There’s a reason I love my job.   Deb and I have been asked when we’re going to do this again.  We have decided once a month.  We’re going to scrap for others the first Sat. of every month from 11-4:30.  We’ll have more information in the following weeks.

Again Thank You and God Bless You!     Christine

By the way…..Have you ever had a fungus burger?

I’ll try to blog tomorrow about by experience in California.  Never a dull moment.

Adding Photos

0371.jpg039.jpg

Well I am going to try and upload some photos.  I really want to change up the blog, but have limited knowledge on how it works.  Hopefully it will work.  I wanted to upload some photos of the scrapbooking benefit we had last Saturday for Vicki.

Well after 4 attempts, I now have 2 photos on the blog.  I will get the hang of it.  Justs takes lots of patience.

Sorting Donations!

I am overwhelmed in a good way with the response we had for donations.  Chris and I were hoping for a good turnout for Saturday.  Not only did we get a ton of pages done, but the donations kept coming in.

So here I am, it’s Monday morning and I am trying to sort through the piles of paper, stickers, ribbon, embellishments, etc.  It will get done, but please forgive the mess if you stop by the store in the next few days.

You are the reason we opened the store.  Our moto for the store was and is “healing through scrapbooking”.  This is our 2nd month of being open and this is a great start to accomplishing what Chris and I set out to do.

There was some talk on Saturday that you would like to meet once a month and work on pages for others in similar situations.  Chris and I will discuss what might work best and post here soon.  I know several local organizations since having a daughter survive cancer/bone marrow transplant.  Chris has a few organizations also due to the loss of her husband several years ago.

THANKS for you support! Deb

Page Donations!

Wow, pages are being dropped off along with a TON and I mean a TON of supplies for the albums we are working on for Vicki.

Here are the names and ages of the kids for those that would like to scrapbook at home and drop off some pages.

13 – girl – Megan

13 – boy – Max

13 – girl – Amanda

10 – boy – Alex

8 – boy – Matthew

4 – girl – Amber

18 months – girl Maria

I know that we are also trying to come up with enough pages to give an album to her hubby, mom and siblings.  I don’t really have any specific themes to give.  With 300-400 pages, anything will be appreciated.

Thanks again so much for helping us with our cause and making one mothers wish come true.

Blessings, Deb and Chris

Ask and you shall receive

I am so amazed at how quickly people are responding to the needs of someone we are trying to help.  I am so excited that we will be able to help in some way.  I know that Vicki will be speechless when she finds out the generosity of our customers.

We have had several people donate paper, stickers, adhesives, etc for our event on Saturday.  Just a reminder if you are unable to make it, you can still help.  We will continue to accept donations of items and completed pages through the end of MARCH.

We received some photos of Vicki and her family.  I have to say that both Chris and I were brought to tears when we looked at them.  Hopefully we will get a chance in the next day or two to get a couple pages done with them so you see them.  It is so hard to grasp the fact that this lovely women with such a loving family might be taken from us.  I use the word might, because a miracle could still happen.  Only God knows the plan.

Chris and I would like to THANK all of you that have and will be helping us with Vicki’s dream of completing 12-15 albums before she passes.

 Blessings, Deb and Chris

Help Needed

Help Needed!  We are hosting a benefit for Vicki Danner.  Vicki and her husband Larry have 7 children, ranging in age from 13 year old triplets down to 18 months.  Vicki was recently diagnosed with stage IV cancer.  In January her Dr gave her prognosis of 3-12 months.  Vicki has never scrapbooked before, but would like 15 albums to leave for her husband, kids, siblings, parents, etc.  That is approximately 300-400 pages.

We will be hosting a benefit on Saturday, March 1st from 10 am-5 pm.  You are welcome to come for an hour or the whole day.  We are also looking for any excess supplies that you may have and want to donate towards the albums.

If you can’t attend on that day but would like to submit completed pages or drop off supplies, you can do that as well.

We appreciate your support in helping Vicki with her dream before she passes.

Blessings,

Deb and Christine

Whew, back from CHA

Chris and I are back from CHA.  We are a bit tired, overwhelmed and ready to show you some of the exciting things we learned in California.

We both had an awesome time checking out the new products being released.  We also met some of the most amazing people at the show.  There is so much talent out there, it was inspiring to say the least.

We already have new product arriving, which is a surprise.  It can take weeks/months for the new items to be shipped.  We were fortunate enough to find some companies that were ready to ship.

I will post some links tomorrow with some of the new items that we have gotten in, along with a scrapbooking event to be held at the store on March 1st for a women that is terminal with breast cancer.  We are hoping for an outpouring of support from our customers as we try to help fulfill her dream/goal.  You can stop in the store for more information.

Hope you have a great day!

Deb

Slacking, NOT!

I have been slacking in the blogging area but not totally slacking in other areas.  Just been busy re-organzing the store.

If you haven’t stopped in the shop for a week or so, there have been some changes to it again.  We purchased 7 new fixtures and only removed one.  Yes, you read that right.  We have several empty spots, but that is good news for you.

We are headed to CHA in Anaheim on Saturday to do some major buying for the store.  I’m excited and tired at the same time.  CHA is an amazing event for store owners, but it is very draining.  Trying to make decisions on what product you will want to see in the store, walk the show and do as many  make n takes as we can.

We both hope to come back with lots of NEW inspiration for you.  Stay tuned for some exciting news to be announced on the blog.

For those that want to join in the blog fun, post a comment and we will do a drawing from those that post.  The drawing will take place in a couple weeks.  Only one comment per day please.

Well, gotta go.  Need to get ready for the crop tonight and then off to pack.

 Have a great weekend!

Deb and Chris
